Services
1. Academic Advising for students of all ages: early
planning assures that the student will have the opportunity to take the
toughest courses for his/her ability and will have time to prepare for the
college admission tests. Summer activities can influence a student's
motivation, career choice, essays, and college admission so we look
carefully at opportunities that match the student's interests.
2. College and Career Counseling: helping students
understand their unique talents and interests and choose a college and major
that will best serve their needs. This includes extensive support during
the college application, essays, resume, financial aid, test prep, and
course selection process.
3. Learning Differences and Disabilities Support: our
extensive background working with students with disabilities helps us teach
"college survival skills" in addition to the regular college and career
counseling.
4. Graduate School Advising: includes extensive
support during the application, essays, resume, test prep and career
selection process.
5. Public speaking activities: throughout the year
we teach dozens of workshops to high school counselors, college admission
professionals, teachers, and parents on the following topics:
·
Testing Issues and Test Preparation
·
Ethics and Legal Issues in College Admission
·
Working with College-Bound Learning Disabled Students
·
Demographics and Marketing Issues in College Admission
